Delete your TaskBuzz account
This page explains how to permanently delete your TaskBuzz account and all the data associated with it.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once the process completes we cannot recover your profile, task history, friends, or Buzz history.
Step-by-step: delete inside the app
- Open the TaskBuzz app on your phone.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of your profile and tap Delete account (shown in red, just below Sign out).
- Read the warning dialog and tap Continue.
- When prompted, type
DELETEto confirm. - Tap Delete forever. The app will return to the login screen once your data has been removed.
Lost access to your device?
If you can no longer open the app (lost phone, uninstalled, etc.), email support@taskbuzz.org from the email address you normally use or mention the phone number on your account. We will verify your identity via an SMS code to that phone number and complete the deletion on your behalf within 30 days.
What gets deleted

| Tasks that friends created and assigned to you | Kept — they belong to the friend's list. Your name is removed and the task becomes unassigned for them. |
Retention
- Active deletion completes within 30 days.
- Backups that may still contain your data are purged on our standard 35-day backup-retention cycle.
- Aggregated, non-identifying usage counters (e.g. "total buzzes sent today") may persist indefinitely; they contain no personal data.
